Beef Processing Revolutionized

IR-Scribe is an AI-driven automated beef scribing system that leverages the power of Photoneo's MotionCam-3D. After defining precise cut locations for robotic incisions, the robot performs the cuts.

In a move towards automation and enhanced safety standards, Intelligent Robotics Pty Ltd, in collaboration with Photoneo, developed a new AI-driven, automated beef cutting technology called IR-Scribe. This cutting-edge solution, leveraging the capabilities of Photoneo’s 3D camera MotionCam-3D, is set to redefine traditional beef carcass scribing methods and pave the way for a new era of efficiency, precision, and safety in the industry.

RF meets Vision

The Birger RF adapter enables Canon RF lenses to be used on industrial cameras for the first time. This means that the enormous versatility and performance of the RF lens portfolio is now available for a wide range of applications in industrial machine vision.

Perfect Synchronization

Example of data misalignment: it shows the difference between obtaining data from a 3D LiDAR (l.) verses a 2D LiDAR (r.). If the data is not completely synched up, there's more "wiggle room" and there's the potential for an accident to occur.

Outdoor mobile robots, like automated mobile robots (AMR), offer several advantages for users. They can be equipped with various sensors, including GPS, LiDAR, and cameras, to collect data and perform tasks like mapping and exploration. One embedded computing platform that can handle the time-synchronization process of these data is Vecow’s Time Sync Box VTS-1000. VTS-1000 features three key technologies: Time Winding, Time Stamping, and Time Keeping. And it benefits to improve multi-sensor synchronization, perception, precision, and positioning capabilities, those can contribute to a safer trip for autonomous vehicles and mobile robots.

Auto Deep Learning Vision Inspection

The new GAN Patch mode at Neurocle's Neuro-T deep learning software slices images into patches to generate more precise synthetic defect images.

Neurocle has launched version 4.1 of its deep learning vision inspection software. The new features promise to tackle various challenges, such as detecting defects in high-resolution images, managing limited defect data, and optimizing performance on lightweight embedded devices.

Hidden Strobe

Figure 2 | When the light is triggered in sync with the camera to capture an image, the Hidden Strobe pulses stop and the programming pulse for the camera is executed.

Smart Vision Lights ‚Hidden Strobe‘ is a solution to the issue of distracting and disorienting LED strobe lights. It allows the LEDs to internally self-trigger thousands of times per second, creating a nearly continuous light source. When the light is triggered in sync with the camera to capture an image, the Hidden Strobe pulses stop and the programming pulse for the camera is executed.

GigE Vision 3.0

RoCEv2, the version integrated into GigE Vision 3.0, delegates error detection and recovery tasks to dedicated hardware. For machine vision applications, this means zero copy image transfer and all its benefits.

GigE Vision 3.0, currently in development by A3 and its GigE Vision Technical Committee, will offer unparalleled advances for machine vision applications by leveraging cutting-edge RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) technology.

Welcome to VISION 2024

"We count a share of 25% of new companies that exhibit at Vision for the very first time.", Florian Niethammer, Vision

From October 8 – 10th the VISION will take place in Stuttgart. inVISION spoke to Florian Niethammer, project manager of the VISION, what visitors can expect from the world´s leading trade fair for machine vision.
