Single Photon Active Event Sensor (SPAES) is a novel architecture of 3D perception systems by offering unprecedented combined low-power and low-latency performance with a simplified data path. VoxelSensors addresses OEM’s requirements for low-power, low-latency perception systems for tasks such as SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), anchoring, and interaction using gestures or controllers. The technology achieved a threshold of less than 10 milliwatts of power consumption and less than 5 milliseconds of latency. It is designed to be resistant to indoor and outdoor lighting at distances over 5 meters and be immune to crosstalk.
