„The upcoming inclusion of RDMA/RoCEv2 in the GigE Vision Standard 3.0, expected in 2025, will make high-speed GigE Vision more accessible across the industry.“

@MZ_Grundschrift:As we approach VISION 2024, it’s clear that the industry is shifting focus after several years dominated by AI and machine learning developments. While AI remains a critical component in vision systems, the spotlight is now turning back to the foundational aspects of high-speed vision: interface technology, sensor advancements, and data management. For over a decade, we at Emergent Vision Technologies have been at the forefront of high-speed GigE Vision technology, introducing 10GigE, 25GigE, and 100GigE cameras that have set the benchmark for performance and reliability. Our expertise with the GigE Vision Streaming Protocol (GVSP) has been crucial in managing the massive data throughput required for cutting-edge applications, ensuring zero frame drops and seamless integration in multi-camera systems. However, we recognize that leveraging GVSP at such high speeds can be challenging for some manufacturers. The upcoming inclusion of RDMA/RoCEv2 in the GigE Vision Standard 3.0, expected in 2025, will make high-speed GigE Vision more accessible across the industry. This new standard will simplify the implementation of ultra-fast data transfers, enabling other camera manufacturers to more easily develop and release 25GigE, 100GigE, and even faster cameras with the quality and performance levels demanded by modern industrial or for example scientific applications. In parallel, line scan technology is poised to make a strong comeback. The release of several new sensors capable of 4K, 8K, and even 16K resolution will fuel this resurgence, allowing more manufacturers to introduce high-resolution line scan cameras to the market. Combined with high-speed GigE Vision interfaces, these advancements will redefine what’s possible in industrial inspection, printing, PCB inspection, and other precision-demanding applications. Ultimately, VISION 2024 will be a showcase for the next wave of high-speed vision technologies, where interface innovations and sensor advancements work hand in hand to meet the growing demands of data-intensive applications. The combination of advanced line scan cameras and high-speed GigE Vision interfaces will indeed be ´THE big thing´ to watch for, driving the future of high-performance imaging across industries. This evolution signifies a balanced focus on both the hardware and the data handling capabilities that will empower industries to push the boundaries of what’s possible in high-speed imaging. @MZ_Grundschrift:Hall 8 | Booth D60
