Ring light illumination with up to eight separately controllable LED segments is controlled by Evotron’s digital LED single-channel lighting controller DCC2404. The controller takes full control of the camera triggering and the synchronous control of the respective LED segments. With the selection of up to 16 consecutive segment combinations, 3D lighting techniques such as shape-from-shading and photometric stereo can be implemented in a very simplified and compact manner. To integrate the ring lighting into machine controls, the parameters are set via WLAN using a web interface, app or API. Even with switching speeds of 10 kHz, the light energy remains constant from segment to segment and absolutely synchronous with the image recording. Hall 10 | Booth E70.8
