„The Coaxlink QSFP28 frame grabber will offer in a single PCI Express slot the same bandwidth as 10x CXP-12 links, or 20x CXP-6 links, or even 14x Camera Link Full frame grabbers.“

@MZ_Grundschrift:CoaXPress-over-Fiber is, so far, proposing an important evolution to the CoaXPress CXP-12 protocol, with longer reach (up to 150m or 40km depending on the fiber technology), high EMI immunity, lesser cable congestion and weight. Since its introduction in 2021, it has been, so far, endorsed by several companies worldwide. The first fiber implementation, like in the Euresys Coaxlink QSFP+ frame grabber, allows similar bandwidth as the copper based Coaxlink Quad CXP-12. At VISION Euresys announce the soon coming Coaxlink QSFP28 frame grabber. A single frame grabber offering 12,500MB/sec of camera bandwidth 2.5 times more bandwidth than the existing frame grabber. As a matter of fact, this solution will offer in a single PCI Express slot the same bandwidth as 10x CXP-12 links, or 20x CXP-6 links, or even 14x Camera Link Full frame grabbers. Similarly to other Euresys frame grabbers, the Coaxlink QSFP28 will allow communication with multiple camera configurations. From 1x 100G camera to 4x 25G cameras by means of break-out fiber cables. Beyond the industries already using the CoaXPress-over-Fiber technology for its cable reach (e.g. sports imaging), its EMI immunity (e.g. heavy industries) and its low cable congestion (e.g. robotics, avionics), the targeted applications for this speed enhancement are all production inspection facilities where productivity and quality have to increase simultaneously, calling for faster, higher resolution visual inspection. In close communication with the many camera makers endorsing this technology also embarking on this journey towards higher performance, Euresys plans to propose the first boards early 2025. @MZ_Grundschrift: Hall 10 | Booth D24
