With Aitrios, users can overcome the six biggest challenges of cloud-based IoT systems: a) handle large volumes of data with ease, b) ensure enhanced privacy protection for data, c) reduce latency in data transmission, processing, and analysis, d) conserve energy with efficient power consumption, e) maintain service continuity, f) keep data secure. Local Studio, a software toolkit for local PC environments, as a new line-up of Aitrios, includes a training tool for developing AI models and a device control tool for easily installing the created models. By combining the kit with Aitrios-compatible devices, like the AIH-IVRW2, users will be able to easily build solutions using vision AI cameras in their local PC environment. The hardware line-up will be regularly expanded by Sony and other companies. Portal is a web app to handle all project needs, like set up and manage multiple projects, buy apps in marketplace, add users and assign them project roles, overview billing details.
For example, SSS, Hacobu and Restar Electronics have developed a service that utilizes the edge AI technology to improve work efficiency in loading and unloading areas (berths) of logistics warehouses. The services were launched in November 2023 and automates the intake of usage records and length of time required for loading and unloading delivery trucks, helping to reduce unnecessary waiting time for drivers and optimizing the work time for warehouse employees. SSS intelligent vision sensor IMX500 with AI processing capabilities enabled devices output only metadata related to license plate detection/recognition results, reducing the amount of transmitted data and costs for the overall system operation. The company also provides the Aitrios platform, with a cloud environment built on Microsoft Azure, for application development, edge device management, and operation. Finally, the edge AI model ´AI Service´ was used that performs license plate detection/ recognition for trucks on edge devices equipped with IMX500.
